Monday
12 April, 2010:
Talented middle
distance performer Barlinnie will be on the sidelines this Winter after
sustaining a tendon injury.
The Trevor Bailey prepared galloper was being aimed at a start in the
$350,000 Hollindale Stakes (1800m) on 8 May.
Barlinnie resumed racing with a solid 2.1 length third at Eagle Farm on 5
April behind Masai Pride and Starzando, before the tendon injury surfaced.
After doing his early racing in Melbourne under Peter Moody, Barlinnie has
won two feature races for Trevor Bailey after being purchased privately by
Ontrack Thoroughbreds.
His Queensland victories have included the $100,000 Listed Sunshine Coast
Cup (1400m) and the $200,000 Listed Doomben Stakes (1350m).
