Gold Coast Titans also Winning on the Racetrack
Monday
23 June, 2008:
Whilst the
Gold Coast Titans are performing well on the football field, some of the
team’s powerbrokers are also enjoying success on the racetrack.
Coach John
Cartwright, Managing Director Michael Searle and Chairman Paul Broughton all
share in the ownership of promising two year-old filly Dancing Royal.
Prepared by Gold Coast trainer Trevor Bailey, Dancing Royal scored an
exciting win on debut at the Gold Coast earlier this month.
Dancing Royal exploded out of the gates to lead easily over the 900m under
the guidance of top local hoop Terry Treichel.
“She did a very good job at her first run, although she probably got a bit
lost out in front,” said trainer Trevor Bailey.
Other shareholders in the Spinning World filly include Gold Coast Bulletin
Managing Director Roy Miller and Sydney Player agent Frank Parisi, together
with local Gold Coast businessmen Mark Sessarago and Nat Pendergast.
Dancing Royal is a daughter of Spinning World, who is also the sire of this
season’s boom three year-old filly Heavenly Glow.
