September, 2010: The Trevor Bailey prepared Barlinnie has been crowned
2010 Sunshine Coast Turf Club Horse of the Year.
Part owner Stephen Kirkham was on hand to collect the horse of the year
trophy, together with wife Lynne at the Horse of the Year function today.
Barlinnie raced twice at the Sunshine Coast last season, scoring on both
occasion including a feature win in the $100,000 Listed Sunshine Coast Cup
in January.
Since being purchased from Melbourne, Barlinnie
has accumulated prizemoney of over $246,000 from 3 wins and 3 placings from
14 starts.
His keynote victory came at his second start for his new connections
in the $200,000 Listed Doomben Stakes.
Barlinnie was privately selected and purchased by Grant Morgan of Ontrack
Thoroughbreds.
