Tough three year-old filly Anabarbie broke through for a well deserved Class
1 win at the Gold Coast today.
With in form local apprentice Patrick Keane riding a faultless race,
Anabarbie scored a narrow win on the line to triumph.
A three year-old filly by Anabaa, Anabarbie has now won 2 races and placed
in 2 from 7 starts.
Anabarbie is owned by a large group of shareholders stretching from
Melbourne in the South, to Roxby Downs in South Australia and Hervey Bay in
North Queensland.
The win was the first leg of a winning double for trainer Trevor Bailey also
prepared Catallion later in the day.
A good looking son of Lion Heart, Catallion has now won 6 races and placed
in a further 6 races from 23 starts.
Catallion was co selected by trainer Trevor Bailey and Grant Morgan of
Ontrack Thoroughbreds at the 2008 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale.
The winning double moved Trevor Bailey into third place in the Gold Coast
trainers premiership, a title he has been runner up in the past two seasons.
