:: Arrowfield Stud
Arrowfield Stud is located
at Gundy, in the heart of horse country just east of Scone. Arrowfield is an
Australian success story and is headed by the highly influential John
Messara. The stud has a distinctly colonial flavour among its stallion
roster headed by champion sire Redoute’s Choice. |

Coolmore Stud
Coolmore
Stud was the first world breeding giant to invest heavily in the Australian
breeding industry during the nineties. Today, Coolmore continues to be a
leader in the market place thanks to super stallion roster which includes
champion sire Encosta De Lago.

:: Darley Stud
A
world breeding superpower, Darley is led by the horse mad Sheikh Mohammed
bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who doubled his Australian racing and breeding
operation by purchasing the massive Woodlands operation from the Ingham
family last year. We visit Darley’s main base in Australia, the historic
‘Kelvinside’ property at Aberdeen.

Widden Stud
Widden
Stud is the largest and most successful family operated commercial stud in
Australia today. The Thompson family emigrated to Australia in 1832, and now
seven generations later, Antony Thompson continues the families legacy. The
stud is located in the picturesque Widden valley, and has been home to a
host of champion stallions including Bletchingly, Vain, Marscay and
Lunchtime. A visit to Widden is truly a once in a lifetime experience.
