Grant
Morgan is the Managing Director of Ontrack Thoroughbreds.
Grant has over 15 years professional work experience and a lifelong
passion for the Australian Racing and Breeding industry.
His
experience provides clients with the history of a proven track record in
a wide range of roles. Prior to embarking into management and
consultancy roles, Grant enjoyed hands on experience with horses through
both thoroughbred and harness racing.
During the past 15 years, Grant has been professionally employed within
the Thoroughbred industry as CEO, Marketing Manager, Racing Manager,
Business Manager, Riders Agent, Racing Journalist, Bloodstock Agent,
Industry Consultant and Form Analyst.
In those roles he
has been employed or contracted to a wide range of high profile clients
including Eliza Park Stud, Australian Associated Press (AAP), Racing and
Sports, Racenet, Magic Millions, Racing NSW, Queensland Country Life,
Gold Coast Racing, Australasian Turf Monthly and Best Bets/TVN.
Grant
attends all major thoroughbred sales throughout Australasia. As a
bloodstock agent or racing manager, Grant has secured a growing list of
smart gallopers including Barlinnie, Grand Reve, Currigee, Fabiarna,
Faster Son, Flying Minstrel, Rumbird, Sovereign Dream, Chevron Island,
Man O Mars and McLaren Vale.
Grant also helped guide the early careers of leading stallions General
Nediym and Desert Sun whilst he was Marketing Manager at Eliza Park
Stud.
Grant boasts an extensive contact list within the industry whilst he has
access to the best information, statistics and news to keep him and his
clients at the cutting edge of the industry.
Grant’s professional Form Analysis services are also in demand. His
selections for most major Queensland meetings can be found in Best Bets,
whilst they regularly appear on TVN.
Recognising the importance of owners, Grant is also currently the
president of the Queensland Racehorse Owners Association (QROA) and the
Chairman of the national racehorse owners body ATROC (Australian
Thoroughbred Racehorse Owners Council).
